Northcote Northcote (Home to Cornell Acacia)

"...To strengthen the ties of friendship, one with another; to prepare ourselves as educated men to take a more active part and to have a greater influence in the affairs of the community in which we may reside; and, above all, to seek the truth and knowing it, to give light to those with whom we may be associated as we travel along life's pathway..."

Induction 12.09.2009
Acacia fraternity recently inducted 2 new members as of Fall 2009. The new Brothers adding their names to the Acacia ranks are John Ertl and Jon Hsieh.John attended the University of Wisconsin for two years and got his Associate's degree before transferring to Cornell. He goes to the School of Industrial and Labor Relations and is involved with social activist groups on campus and enjoys working out. John was pledge class president of this 2 person group winning out in what was truly a very tight 2 horse race. His pledge brother Jon Hsieh is a Sophomore in the Hotel School. Jon likes cooking and working on cars while playing his violin. The duo successfully achieved brotherhood in Early December, as of now they are preparing to join the brotherhood for the 2010 spring rush.

Here the new members can be seen at the Fall 20009 formal with the rest of the brotherhood. John can be seen second from the left in the front row, and Jon can be seen in the middle of the back row.
